Quinta do Alqueve Touriga Nacional / Syrah 2003
Characteristics
Organoleptics
Ruby colour with a few brownish nuances; almost shiny and slightly opened. Resinous character; fruity character of dry prune; a bit of caramel and an indistinct floral scent; still young. Medium dry to the palate; balanced acidity and alcohol content; medium structured with tannins to smoothen and some complexity. Persistent.
Winemaking
The wine making process is conducted separately for each grape variety, in stone presses, with stalk and skins, at controlled temperature. It undergoes natural stabilization and a 12 months period in French oak barrels. The bottles are kept in cellar for 1 year.

Service
Air by decanting and let breathe for half an hour before serving, at 18ºC. Red meat, pasta and fat fish seem adequate. Seafood curry, lasagne and soft cheeses can be a pleasant company to this wine.

Storage
