WINERY

Pinhal da Torre is located in Alpiarça, by the 86^th Km of the EN 118, in the heart of the Ribatejo region. The winery is located in its Quinta de São João property. Built in 1946/47, this winery is unique in the region for its modern construction and achitectural style. It has 4 stone presses (for the traditional method of foot crushing the grapes), 7 Algerian style vats, which are unique in Portugal for their architecture, temperature controlled stainless steel fermenting vats for both whites and reds, 2 rooms for barrels' keeping and 2 for keeping bottles and a bottling line with labeling and packaging capacity. It also has a small rural museum devoted to its wines and vines and a tastings room. All of this covers an area of 4000m² that will soon be open to visitors.
